Douglas Squirrel – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Douglas Squirrel:
The Douglas Squirrel is a pine squirrel found in the Pacific coastal states and provinces of North America. It is sometimes known as the chickaree or pine squirrel. Douglas squirrels live in coniferous forest habitats, from the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California, northwards to coastal British Columbia and Southeast Alaska. These rodents prefer old-growth forests or mature second-growth forests, and some authors regard them as dependent on its presence. Douglas squirrels mostly eat seeds of coniferous trees, but will also feed on acorns, berries, mushrooms, the eggs of birds such as Yellow Warblers, and some fruit including strawberries and plums. Dromedary or Arabian Camel – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Dromedary:
The Dromedary or Arabian Camel is a widely domesticated, large ungulate. In fact, this animal is so thoroughly domesticated they are not believed to exist as wild animals. They grow to about 84 inches tall, 84 - 121 inches long and weighs between 1000 - 1500 pounds. They are members of the family Camelid and are closely related to the South America llama and the alpaca. They are essential to humans living in the desert areas, providing transpiration, milk and meat. The most distinctive and recognizable feature of the camel's anatomy is its hump, which is used to store fat (not water, as some believe) The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality: • Paper thickness: 10.3 mil • Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²) • Opacity: 94% Buy a Digital Download

Duck-Billed Platypus – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Duck-Billed Platypus:
The Platypus - or 'Duck-Billed' Platypus, is a small, semi-aquatic mammal native to the small streams and rivers of the eastern coasts of Australia. It can be found from the highlands of Tasmania and the Australian Alps, to the lush tropical rainforests of coastal Queensland, and north to the base of the Cape York Peninsula. It is a type of echinda, and one of only five living monotremes (which are mammals that lay eggs.) When the first specimen of this animal was brought to Europe from Australia, it was greeted with a mix of amazement and skepticism - with some observers going to far as to declare it a hoax. But of course eventually it was proved to be a real animal. On top of being one of the few mammals that lay eggs, it also has the distinction of also being venomous. The male of the species has a sharp spur on the hind foot that can deliver a venom capable of causing severe pain to humans, although it is generally not fatal. Dugong – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Dugong:
The Dugong is a large marine mammal native to the warm water oceans near the coastlines of the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia and Australia. They are one of only four extant species of the order of Sirenia and the only living member of the genus Dugong. They are not closely related to other marine mammals, and are instead more closely related to elephants. They are herbivores, feeding on sea grasses and other plant matter in shallow waters. They closely resemble their relative the manatee, however the tail of the manatee is like a paddle, whereas the tail of the dugong is forked like that of a dolphin. These gentle mammals were hunted to near extinction for centuries, but all trade and hunt has been banned in nearly all parts of the world. They are very long lived animals, perhaps living some 70 years. Dusky-Footed Woodrat – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Dusky-Footed Woodrat:
The Dusky-Footed Woodrat is a nocturnal mammal native to the forested areas of Mexico and California. They are sometimes called "packrats" or "trade rats." The Woodrat builds large, doomed dens that can be as large as several feet. These large protective dens usually discourage potential predators. While they are solitary animals, except when breeding, they will live in communities where there are several dens close to one another. It's been recorded that Dusky-footed woodrats of California will selectively place California bay leaves (Umbellularia) around the edges of their nest within their stickhouse to control levels of parasites such as fleas. Eastern Bongo – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Eastern Bongo:
The Eastern Bongo is a large herbivore native to the lush rainforests of north-eastern Central Africa. These mammals are the largest of the forest antelopes. An adult Bongo's height is roughly 3.6 to 4.3 feet (1.1 to 1.3 meters) at the shoulder and they are 7.1 to 10.3 feet long (2.15 to 3.15 meters) The females weigh approximately 330–520 pounds (150–235 kilograms), and males are approximately 490–890 pounds (220–405 kilograms) These shy animals are mostly nocturnal, feeding on plants, bark, vines, roots and fruits. Due to habitat loss and illegal poaching their numbers have declined rapidly and are considered extremely rare and are critically endangered. Intense conservations programs are being developed in their native range as well as zoos around the world, but especially in Europe. Years ago people believed that to touch a Bongo would result in spasms like those of an epileptic seizure. Eastern Gray Squirrel – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Eastern Gray Squirrel:
The Eastern Gray Squirrel (or simply Gray Squirrel depending on the region) is an arboreal mammal of the order of Rodentia (rodents) They are native to much of the eastern and mid-western areas of North America. They are highly adaptable animals, and because of this in areas they have been introduced (such as Britain and Ireland) they have largely displaced the native red squirrels. While it is called the Gray Squirrel, it also has some tan and brown in it's fur, and there are even pure white albino specimens of this species that are fairly common. These rodents can live in nearly any environment as long as it's not too hot and dry or too cold. They have readily adapted to life in urban areas and in some cases they can become so docile as to take food from the hands of humans. It's the largest of the four gorilla sub-species. It has a jet-black coat and it very stocky. Populations in the wild are estimated to be about 5,000 living animals. Unlike the Western Lowland Gorilla, there are very few in captivity and in zoos (The only zoo that houses them in in Antwerp, Belguim.) Like other gorillas, these animals are very social and live in groups of 5-30 individuals. They face a number of threats, such as habitat destruction, illegal hunting and instability in the region caused by an ongoing civil war.The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
