Rocky Mountain Elk – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Rocky Mountain Elk:
The Rocky Mountain Elk is sub-species of elk native to the mountainous regions of Rocky Mountains and other ranges west and adjacent to the Rockies. Elk are large mammals, with adult bulls usually weighing upwards of 700 pounds (225 kilograms) and standing 4.3 feet (1.3 meters) at the shoulders. Cow are about 60% smaller. Like many other species similar to the elk, such as deer, the social structure is based on a dominant male who has a number of females in his harem. These males will fight and attempt to drive off any other males who challenge them or attempt to mate with any of his females. The Rocky Mountain Elk has been the victim of Chronic Wasting Disease which has impacted some populations, but in general the sub-species is healthy with an estimated count of 800,000 in the wild. It is the state animal of Utah. Rocky Mountain Goat – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Rocky Mountain Goat:
The Rocky Mountain Goat is a large hoofed mammal found only in the Rocky Mountains and Cascade Mountain Ranges of North America. These even-toed ungulates range from Alaska and the Yukon in the north, to the mountains of Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, South Dakota, and Colorado in the south. This alpine species prefers to dwell on rocky, windswept slopes with little snow. The Mountain Goat is the only species in the genus Oreamnos. Despite it's name, it is not actually true goat. Although shows of aggression have been noted, Mountain Goats in fact spend much of their time quietly grazing in mountain meadows and wherever else grasses, ferns, moss, and leaves can be found. Mountain goats typically weigh between one and three-hundred pounds. Females generally weigh about 10-30% less than males. Saber-Tooth Cat – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Saber-Tooth Cat:
The Saber-Toothed or Sabre-Toothed cat is an extinct massively built carnivore that was native to North and South America during the early Pleistocene through Lujanian stage of the Pleistocene epoch (2.5 mya—10,000 years ago). Their name comes from the prominent length of their maxillary canines. Smilodons were among the largest cats to ever to live on the planet, growing to weight between 120 to 1,000 pounds (55 to 455 kg) The color and patterns of the fur of the animal is under much debate, because the fossil so far has provided no clues. Some believe the Smilodon had spots like a leopard or stripes like a tiger, but the most common representation shows them with a simple beige colored coat like a modern Jefferson's Ground Sloth. The Smilodon is the official state fossil of the state California. Saddleback Pig – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Saddleback Pig:
A pig is a mammal belonging to the order of Artiodactyla. It is descended from the wild boar, and has been domesticated since ancient times. It is believed that there are about 2 billion pigs on earth. Pigs are omnivorous, and will eat virtually anything that it considers edible. They find their food in part by use of their snout, which is a very sensitive organ and can find food by digging around in the soil. Pigs are ungulates, which means they are hoofed mammals. Pigs have been introduced into areas where they are not native to, and are considered invasive pests, and can wipe out indigenous species of both plant and animal. Pigs are very intelligent animals. Europeans often use pigs and their sensitive snouts to find truffles. Saiga Antelope – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Saiga Antelope:
The Saiga Antelope is critically endangered mammal native to the steppe zone of Eurasia. They originally inhabited a vast area from the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains and Caucasus into Dzungaria and Mongolia. Today, the nominate subspecies (S. t. tatarica) is only found in one location in Russia (steppes of the northwest Precaspian region) and three areas in Kazakhstan (the Ural, Ustiurt and Betpak-dala populations). It is extinct in China and southwestern Mongolia. Saigas form very large herds that graze in semi-deserts, steppes, grasslands and possibly open woodlands eating several species of plants, including some that are poisonous to other animals. The horn of the Saiga Antelope is used in traditional Chinese medicine, and can sell for as much as $150. Demand for the horns have wiped out the population in China. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Samoyed – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Samoyed:
The Samoyed dog takes it's name from the Samoyedic peoples of Siberia, who are nomadic reindeer herders. These hardy people bred these distinctive white dogs to help with the herding and to pull sleds in the thick snow. These dogs are also sometimes called Bjelkier, especially in Europe. The males usually weigh about 51–66 pounds (23–30 kilograms) with the females being somewhat smaller. They have very lovely eyes, usually almond shape and black/brown in coloration - which stand out dramatically from their fluffy white coats - which are double-layered to protect them from the bitter cold of their native Siberia. While the friendly temperament of Samoyeds make them less than ideal guard dogs, it does make them excellent pets. Although when playing with children, the dogs instincts will kick in and they will attempt to herd them. Like other purebred dogs, they are susceptible to a variety of illnesses. They are fairly long lived though, usually reaching ages of 12-15 years old.The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Santa Cruz Island Fox – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Santa Cruz Island Fox:
The Santa Cruz Island Fox is one of four species of fox native to six of the eight Channel Islands off the coast of California. These foxes are all endangered or threatened, due to habitat destruction, introduction of non-native animals, and predation by Bald and Golden Eagles. These mammals are unique to the Channels Islands and live nowhere else on earth. Unlike other foxes, these canids have no natural predators so they can hunt during the day rather than the night. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Scimitar Oryx – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Scimitar Oryx:
The Scimitar Oryx - also called the Sahara Oryx - is a species of oryx that was native to most of Northern Africa. Unfortunately, it has been completely extirpated in the wild and now only lives in zoos and on wildlife reserves. The scimitar oryx was a very sociable animal and traveled in herds of between two and forty individuals, generally, led by a dominant bull. This species once gathered in groups of several thousand for migration. Because of it's valuable horns, the species was hunted until it was extinct in the wild. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
