Ochre Sea Stars – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Ochre Sea Stars:
The Ochre Sea Star - also called the Purple Sea Star - is a common starfish native to the rocky coastlines and intertidal zones of the northern Pacific Ocean. While most of the species are purple, color variations can include orange, yellow, red/brown and brown, depending on the location and temperature of the water. This species of starfish is carnivorous and feed on mussels. The Ochre Sea Star has five eyes located at the tips of the arms. They don't have vision, but these eyes are sensitive to light. These echinoderms are often exposed when the tide is low. They attach themselves to the rocks by way of their tube feet. These feet are used to keep the starfish in place and prevents them from being swept out by the massive wave action which are common within the intertidal zone. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Orbicular Batfish – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Orbicular Batfish:
The Orbicular Batfish also called the circular batfish, orbiculate batfish, round batfish, or orbic batfish is a popular aquarium fish endemic to tropical waters of the Indian and Pacific Oceans. The body of this fish is almost disc-shaped, and very thin. Its tail, about 20% of the body length, is fan-shaped and is taller than it is long. In the wild, the orbicular batfish is found in brackish or marine waters, usually around reefs. Its range extends from the Red Sea and East Africa in the east to the Tuamotu Islands in French Polynesia in the west, and from southern Japan in the north to northern Australia and New Caledonia. It has been recorded off the coast of Florida, though this may be the result of dumping of aquarium specimens. Juvenile fish are solitary or live in small groups, among mangroves or other inner sheltered lagoons. Adults are found in more open waters and at greater depth. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Pacific Electric Ray – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Torpedo or Pacific Electric Ray:
The Torpedo Ray - also called the Pacific Electric Ray - is a member of the family of Torpedinidae. They are native to the coastal waters of the northeastern Pacific Ocean from Baja California to as far north as British Columbia in Canada. They are not large rays, but can grow to about 4.5 feet in length (1.4 meters) They are found in kelp forests, rocky reefs and sandy bottoms down to a depth of around 600 feet (200 meters) These rays feed on small fish like anchovies, herring, and the like. They will also eat octopus and other cephalopods, as well as crustaceans. As the name implies, they are able to deliver a sizable electric shock, and because of this divers are advised to keep their distance, especially at night when the rays are feeding. Pacific Harbor Seal – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Pacific Harbor Seal:
Harbor seals have spotted coats which vary from silver-gray to black or dark brown. The grow up to five feet in length and weigh about 300 pounds. The females are slightly smaller than the males. Harbor seals can be found north of the equator in both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Pacific Harbor seals in and around the San Francisco Bay often have a reddish hue to their coats. While it's not fully understood as to why this is, it could be because of an accumulation of trace elements such as iron or selenium in the ocean, or a change in the hair follicle itself. Pacific Sea Nettle – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Pacific Sea Nettle Jellyfish:
The Pacific Sea Nettle - also called the West Coast Nettle - is a free-floating scyphozoa native to the coastal waters of the Pacific Ocean, specifically Oregon and California, although they can occasionally be found north and west of there. Like other jellyfish, Sea Nettles are carnivorous animals. They're able to catch their prey with long tentacles that hang down from the center of the bell. The toxins in their nematocysts are effective in paralyzing their prey, but it can also inflict a nasty sting to humans. It is believed their numbers are growing due to climate change, although little historical record is available to verify this. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
