Rough Green Snake – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Rough Green Snake:
The Rough Green Snake - sometimes called the grass snake or green grass snake is a North American colubrid. It is sometimes called grass snake or green grass snake - which is a European snake and is not closely related. The rough green snake is docile, often allowing close approach by humans, and seldom bites. It grows up to 45 inches long (116 cm) and is quite thin. This reptile ranges throughout the Southeastern United States, from Florida, north to New Jersey, Indiana, and west to Central Texas. The snake is commonly found in the Piedmont and Atlantic Coastal Plain, but is not found in the higher elevations of the Appalachian Mountains. It is also found in northeastern Mexico, including the state of Tamaulipas and eastern Nuevo León. Its preferred habitat is moist meadows and woodlands, often near water. It is highly arboreal, frequently found climbing in low vegetation, and is also a good swimmer. However, it is often found on the ground as well. Unlike many snakes, it is largely diurnal. Its diet consists mostly of insects and other terrestrial arthropods, but some snails and tree frogs are eaten as well. This snake is not a constrictor—most prey are grabbed and simply swallowed alive. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

This snake is endangered and it's thought that there are less than 2,000 of one of the sub-species remaining. It is a secretive and shy snake, rarely encountered by accident, unlike the more common garter snake. Due to human development and loss of it's natural habitat the future of this colorful colubrid snake is very uncertain. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

South American Bushmaster – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the South American Bushmaster:
The South American Bushmaster is a large venomous pitviper native to the tropical and subtropical rainforests of South America (including the island of Trinidad in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago). Adults grow to an average of 6.5-8 feet (2-2.5 meters), but they can reach lengths up to nearly 10 feet (3 meters) It is the largest of all vipers and the longest venomous snake in the western hemisphere, although it is not the heaviest - less than some boas and rattlesnakes. The toxin is one of the most deadly of all the New World snakes, and fatalities do occur if the victim does not receive medical attention soon after being bitten. Even though the tail and colors of the bushmaster resembles that of rattlesnakes, the sound emitted by the bushmaster is quite different. Acting like a rattlesnake, the bushmaster will shake its tail rapidly when alarmed by an intruder; however, no sound is produced from this shaking from which its species name muta is derived. Instead of having a rattle on its tail to warn incomers, the bushmaster vibrates its tail across the leaves of the forest floor, creating a stirring sound comparable to that of a "rattle."The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
