Dusky-Footed Woodrat – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Dusky-Footed Woodrat:

The Dusky-Footed Woodrat is a nocturnal mammal native to the forested areas of Mexico and California. They are sometimes called "packrats" or "trade rats." The Woodrat builds large, doomed dens that can be as large as several feet. These large protective dens usually discourage potential predators. While they are solitary animals, except when breeding, they will live in communities where there are several dens close to one another. It's been recorded that Dusky-footed woodrats of California will selectively place California bay leaves (Umbellularia) around the edges of their nest within their stickhouse to control levels of parasites such as fleas. Dwarf Minke Whale – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Dwarf Minke Whale:

The Dwarf Minke Whale is a marine mammal of the order Cetacea. There is some disagreement if this is indeed a separate species from the Minke Whale (it has not received an official scientific name at this time.) It is the second smallest of the baleen whales, growing to be about 23-35 feet long with the males a being little longer. Adults will generally weigh 3-5 tons. These cetaceans are widely distributed throughout the world's oceans, and can be found from the poles to the tropics. They occasionally will come near coastal areas, but it appears they tend to prefer the open oceans. Due to whaling these large ocean going mammals, were at one times considered endangered, but thanks to the ban on whaling - respected by most countries - their numbers have rebounded and their numbers are stable. Easter Eggers Chicken – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Easter Eggers Chicken:

Chickens are domesticated fowl, likely descended from the Red Junglefowl (Gallus gallus) They are one of the most widespread domestic animals in the world, with a total population estimated to be over 24 billion birds. They are kept and bred by humans mostly for food - both the chicken itself and the eggs they lay. In some areas, the animals are compelled to fight one another for the purposes of gambling. Evidence suggest that as far back as the 18th dynasty in Egypt (c. 1550-c. 1292 BCE) chickens were kept for these uses. Chickens are omnivorous, and will continually scratch at the dirt looking for insects, vegetable matter or will even eat small lizards or mice if they're able to catch them. While they are considered flightless, chickens can get airborne for short distances. Eastern Bongo – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Eastern Bongo:

The Eastern Bongo is a large herbivore native to the lush rainforests of north-eastern Central Africa. These mammals are the largest of the forest antelopes. An adult Bongo's height is roughly 3.6 to 4.3 feet (1.1 to 1.3 meters) at the shoulder and they are 7.1 to 10.3 feet long (2.15 to 3.15 meters) The females weigh approximately 330–520 pounds (150–235 kilograms), and males are approximately 490–890 pounds (220–405 kilograms) These shy animals are mostly nocturnal, feeding on plants, bark, vines, roots and fruits. Due to habitat loss and illegal poaching their numbers have declined rapidly and are considered extremely rare and are critically endangered.
