Humpback Grouper – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Humpback Grouper:

The Humpback Grouper - also called the Panther or Polka-Dot Grouper - is a demersal (meaning the area of the ocean just above the very bottom) fish found in the warm tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific region. Juveniles display fewer, larger black spots, which become smaller and more plentiful as the fish matures. This unusual fish is also unique amongst the groupers in having an elongate, slender head that rises sharply at the nape of the neck, giving the species the distinctive 'humpback' appearance for which it is named. The long dorsal fin begins at the top of this 'hump' and extends almost the entire length of the body. It grows to be about 27 inches long (70 cm) Since 2007 the population has plummeted, mostly due to the fact that the fish has been extensively collected for the aquarium trade. Indian Gharial Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Indian Gharial:

The Indian Gharial is a large, semi-aquatic reptile native to the rivers and streams of the India subcontinent. They are also called the gavial or fish-eating crocodile. They are one of the longest crocodiles in the world, with adults growing to sizes of 11-15 feet (3.5-4.5 meters) with males being slightly larger. They are known for their distinctively slender snout that is thought to be an adaptation for catching fish. At one time they flourished in the major river systems of the Indian subcontinent, being found in rivers of its northern part from the Indus River in Pakistan across the Ganges floodplain to the Irrawaddy River in Myanmar. They are now gone from much of their original range, and populations have collapsed from many thousands of individuals to perhaps less than 200 in the wild. There are several captive breeding programs that are attempting to save the species, but it's future is in great doubt.

Indian Wolf is a subspecies of grey wolf which ranges from Israel to the Indian Subcontinent.
