Information about the Alaskan Malamute:
The Alaskan Malamute is a large breed of dog and member of the Spitz group - which are are a type of dog generally characterized by long, thick, and often white fur, and pointed ears and muzzles. The tails of these dogs are very distinctive as they are usually curled over the dog's back. Malamutes are commonly used to pull sleds and haul loads in the cold, snowy wastes of Alaska.
