It tends to forage in flocks with other similar species, usually preying on smaller insects and invertebrates it finds in the trees. The females generally tend to be somewhat more drab in color than the males. The Blackburnian Warbler is a small New World songbird. They are found in breeding season in the eastern United States and Canada, and winter in the tropical forests of northern South America. They are about 4.3-5.1 inches long (11-13 cm) with a wingspan of 7.9-8.7 inches (20-22 cm.) These birds are mostly solitary, except during breeding season. The males will fiercely defend their territory. They are sometimes found in the company of other bird species, such as chickadees, kinglets and nuthatches. The Blotched Fantail Ray is a member of the family Dasyatidae. It has many names, including black spotted ray, black-blotched stingray, black-spotted stingray, fantail ray, fantail stingray, giant reef ray, blotched fantail ray, and speckled stingray. These rays are native to the tropical Indo-Pacific, as well as off islands in the eastern Pacific, usually not far from shore. It is a bottom-dwelling inhabitant of lagoons, estuaries, and reefs, generally at a depth of 66-200 feet (20–60 meters. Adults grow to about 6 feet across (2 meters.) Like many other rays, the Blotched Fantail is mostly nocturnal, usually remaining buried during the daylight hours, and emerging to hunt in the night. It is not usually afraid of divers and will approach them occasionally. While not dangerous, if threatened or seized it can unleash a potentially fatal sting from it's tail. They are considered "vulnerable" by the IUCN. The Blue Dasher is a dragonfly of the skimmer family. It is common and widely distributed in the United States, Canada south through Mexico and Belize, the Bahamas and Cuba and it one of the mostly commonly encountered species of dragonfly in North America. Although the species name longipennis means "long wings", oddly enough the wings are not particularly long for a dragonfly. Females do, however, have a short abdomen that makes the wings look longer in comparison. Like other dragonfly species, it may eat hundreds of insects every day. Males are territorial, aggressively engaging with intruders both at feeding and at breeding sites.
