Texas Longhorn – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Texas Longhorn:

The Texas Longhorn is a domestic breed of cattle distinctive for their overly large horns. Remarkably, they can be over 7 feet long (2.1 meters) from tip to tip, and in some cases even longer. These animals were imported by the Spanish settlers who were trying to colonize the southwestern United States. Texas bred their cattle with feral cattle from the Mexican farmers, and developed the breed to be tough and well known for it's lean meat which it lower in fat than most other cattle. For the tough terrain of Texas, these bovines developed ideal characteristics; they can go great distances without water, obtain their own food and fend for themselves. As well as swim rivers and survive the desert sun and cold winters. Because of it's importance and strong identity with the state, Texas selected the Longhorn as it's official large mammal in 1995.
