The Tibetan Sand Fox (sometimes called simply the Tibetan Fox or Sand Fox.) These canids are small and compact. They have coats of very dense fur, with an anvil shaped head and very narrow muzzles. The sand fox is found primarily in semi-arid to arid grasslands, well away from humans or from heavy vegetation cover. The Tibetan sand fox is restricted to the Tibetan Plateau in western China and the Ladakh plateau in Northern Pakistan. They primarily feed on pikas, followed by rodents, marmots, woolly hares and lizards, but they will also scavenge from dead animals and livestock. The Sand Fox is found across Tibet and in parts of the China. Outside of China, it can be found in northern Bhutan, and in the northernmost border regions of Nepal and India, north of the Himalayas. The Timber Rattlesnake - also called the Canebrake or Banded Rattlesnake - is a species of pitviper native to the deciduous forests of the eastern United States from southern Minnesota and southern New Hampshire, south to east Texas and north Florida. It is a larger snake, with the size being on average about 35.8-59.8 inches (91–152 centimeters) They are poisonous and bites can be fatal if not treated. The snake usually resides in rough terrain, boulder piles and other out of the way areas so encounters with humans are not common. The snake feeds on small mammals such as mice and rats, but will also eat reptiles, amphibians and other smaller snakes too. During the winter months it will hibernate in dens or rock crevices, sometimes with other snakes.
