Fine Art Drawing of a Red Racer Snake
Information about the Red Racer Snake:
The Red Racer Snake - also called the Red Coachwhip - is a reptile common to the Mojave Desert of the US. While named the Red Racer, the coloration of the snake can vary from gray to pink to tan. As the snake ages it becomes more and more redish. They are relatively fast snakes with speeds of up to seven miles an hour. They feed mostly on lizards, smaller snakes, birds, and small mammals. They are active during the day and can often be seen basking on rocks and roadways in the desert. While the Red Racer is not poisonous, it can deliver a nasty bite so handling these snakes is not recommended. Fine Art Drawing of a Regal Ringneck Snake
Information about the Regal Ringneck Snake:
The Regal Ringneck Snake is a subspecies of ringneck snake endemic to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. The snake is usually grayish in color, with a dark-speckled whiteish underside becoming bright red or orange near and under the tail. The snakes are among the larger of the ringneck snake subspecies, growing from 8 to 34 inches (20 to 87 cm) long. They have smooth scales. The regal ringneck snake is found only in the desert and scrublands, and not in the surrounding moutains. Unlike other subspecies, Diadophis punctatus regalis is almost exclusively ophiophagous, which means it's diet consists primarily of other snakes, such as the earth snakes and the blackhead or flathead snakes. They have enlarged rear teeth (opisthoglypha) and a weak venom that serves to immobilize their small prey, but is harmless to humans. Ringneck snakes are nocturnal, secretive snakes which spend most of their time hiding under rocks or other ground debris. If threatened, the ringneck snake typically hides its head and twists its tail in a corkscrew type motion, exposing its brightly colored underside, and expels a foul smelling musk from its cloaca. The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Fire Salamander – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Fire Salamander:
The Fire Salamander is the most familiar of the salamanders of Europe. These amphibians live in forests in the hilly areas of southern and central Europe, where they can be found in the leaf litter and rotting tree trunks. They spend much of their lives hidden beneath rocks, in wood piles and fallen trees and branches. They feed on insects, spiders, soil invertebrates such as worms and slugs. The Fire salamander probably got it's name from the misconception they were 'born' of fire, as they would be living in rotting logs that - when placed on a burning fire - they would then crawl out of The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality: • Paper thickness: 10.3 mil • Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²) • Opacity: 94% Buy a Digital Download
