The Galapagos Tortoise is the largest living tortoise on earth. It is native to seven islands of the Galapagos archipelago. A fully grown tortoise can weigh almost 700 pounds and measure 4 feet long. These reptiles are very long-lived with a life expectancy in the wild estimated to be over 150 years. 2 of the 12 subspecies of the giants are now extinct. The Galapagos Land Iguana is a large reptile native to the Galapagos Islands, mostly found on the islands of Fernandina, Isabela, Santa Cruz, North Seymour, Hood, and South Plaza. Their coloration ranges from oranges, yellows and red to darker shades of browns and grays. Despite their unique coloration Charles Darwin described them as "ugly animals." These lizards are herbivores, feeding mostly on plant matter, usually in the form of the tough, spiky cacti native to their habitat. Despite protection of the islands these reptiles live on, some conservation groups consider them "vulnerable" as non-native species have been introduced to their habitat such as cats and rats. There is ongoing work to remove them and restore the environment back to normal. Galapagos Penguin – Signed Fine Art Print

The Galapagos Penguin is a mostly aquatic bird native to some of the islands of the Galapagos Archipelago. It is the only penguin that lives north of the equator. They are generally found on Fernandina Island and the west coast of Isabela Island. They are a member of the banded penguins - which are share several of the same kind of psychical traits such as a band of black running around their bodies bordering their black dorsal coloring, black beaks with a small vertical white band, spots on their bellies, and a small patch of thinly feathered skin around their eyes that can be either white or pinkish. Also called the Garibaldi Damselfish, this is a bright, orange colored fish native to the north eastern subtropical areas of the Pacific Ocean, from the Monterey bay down to the Baja Peninsula in Mexico. These fish grow up to about 12 inches long, and prefer to live in fairly shallow water (about 100 feet deep) usually near kelp beds and rocky reefs. As sub-adults, the Garibaldi Fish are not as colorful as the adults and have small blue iridescent spots. It is the official marine fish of the state of California.
