The Giant Leopard Moth is a member of the family family Arctiidae. It's found in much of the Southern and Eastern United States, from New England to Mexico. The moth has a wingspan of 3 inches (about 8 cm). The abdomen is dark blue with orange markings, the male has a narrow yellow line on the sides. Its legs have black and white bands. Adult moths are strictly nocturnal and do not generally fly before nightfall. The caterpillar is of the "Woolly Bear" kind, with a thick coat of black bristles (setae) and red or orange colored bands between its segments which become conspicuous when the caterpillar rolls into a ball for defense. Giant Red Tail Gourami – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Red-Tail Giant Gourami:
The Red-Tail Giant Gourami are native to Malaysia and Indonesia, where they inhabits the slow waters of rivers, marshes and lakes. Adults can grow up to 20 inches (50 centimeters). These fishes have 10 dorsal spines, 13-14 dorsal soft rays, 11-12 anal spines and 16 – 18 anal soft rays. Body is large, laterally compressed, with an almost oval shape. The head is snub-nosed, with prominent jaw. The pectoral fins are large and rounded, while the dorsal and anal fins are slightly elongated. Even the tail is rounded and the ventral fins are threadlike. At the root of the pectoral fins appears a black ocellus. Another larger black ocellus appears on the caudal peduncle. Adults have bright red fin edges with filamentous extensions. Body colour varies from gray-blue to gray-green to brown, darker on the back. Females have duller colors.
