Asian Small-Clawed Otter – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Asian Small-Clawed Otter:

The Asian or Oriental Small-Clawed Otter is a member of the family Mustelidae. They're native to the mangrove swamps, tidal pools and freshwater wetlands of much of Southeast Asia and southern China. Of all otter species in the world, Aonyx cinerea is the smallest of them all. Their name comes from the relatively small claws they have, which barely extend out past the pads of their paws. Like other otter species, they are highly skilled hunters and can feed upon a large variety of animals, such as crustaceans and mollusks, smaller invertebrates, amphibians and fish. They will also prey on smaller mammals and reptiles. Due to habit loss, pollutions and loss of food sources they are now considered vulnerable by some environmental organizations.
