Corn Snake – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Corn Snake:

The Corn Snake or Red Rat Snake is native to south-eastern and central United States from Nebraska to Texas, and into northern Mexico. They are constrictors that subdue their small prey by coiling around it and slowly squeezing. The name "corn snake" comes from the fact that they have a maize-like pattern on their bellies that resembles corn. As they have very attractive coloration and pattern, are very docile and mediums sized (they grow to about 4 feet in length) and non-venomous they make them excellent and very popular pets.

Costa Rican Variable Harlequin Toad – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Costa Rican Variable Harlequin Toad:

The Costa Rican Variable Harlequin Toad - also called the Clown Frog - is a critically endangered neo-tropical true toad from the family Bufonidae. This colorful toad was once found from Costa Rica to Panama, it now exists only in one location, near Quepos, Costa Rica. It is presumed to be extinct in Panama. The reason for it's decline is likely a combination of of variation in air temperature, precipitation, stream flow patterns, and the subsequent spread of a pathogenic chytrid fungus (Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis) thought to be linked to climate change. At one time A. zeteki (Panamanian Golden Frog ) was considered a subspecies of A. varius, but is now generally considered a separate species. This frog in the past was found on rocks and crevices alongside streams as well as humid lowland and montane forests. It rarely enters the water, except to breed. Unless there is some change in conditions for this toad, it will likely go extinct in the wild very soon.

Costa Rican Zebra Tarantula – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Costa Rican Zebra Tarantula:

The Costa Rican Zebra Tarantula - also called the the Striped-knee Tarantula - is native to most of western Costa Rica, as well as other parts of Central America, such as Honduras and Nicaragua It is usually black with white stripes near the joint, however a brown color formation also exists for the spider. Zebra tarantulas are deep-burrowing spiders. They live in open semi-arid scrublands, and are often found in large aggregations. The deep burrows keep the temperature below the highest daytime temperatures, and retain humidity. Conversely as temperatures drop at night, the burrows buffer away from the lowest temperatures. Zebra tarantulas can grow to about 5-6 inches (10–13 cm) including the legs. Females can live up to 20 years. Males however, tend to live a much shorter life of up to five years, with approximately a single year of maturity. Diet consists of many insects. In the wild, they will eat a wide variety of insects such as grasshoppers and cockroaches. In captivity they will eat crickets. Cotton-Top Tamarin – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Cotton-Top Tamarin:

The Cotton-Top Tamarin is a very small monkey found only in a very small area of the tropical rainforests of northern Columbia. It is a member of the family Callitrichidae, which are marmosets and tamarins. They have a very distinctive white crest that extends from the forehead to the shoulders. They weigh only about one pound (.55 kilograms.) They are diurnal and arboreal, rarely coming down from the trees their entire lives. They are omnivorous, feeding on insects as well as vegetable matter, such as various fruits. They are important seed dispensers and many plants count on this to procreate in the rainforest. They are one of the more critically endangered primates in the world, with perhaps as few as only 6,000 animals in the wild. They are highly social animals, living in groups of about 6-13 individuals. Several conservation groups have aggressively attempted to stave off extinction for many years, but the tamarin's future remains uncertain. Coyote – Signed Fine Art Print

$19.95$27.95

Information about the Coyote:

The Coyote (also occasionally called the Prairie Wolf) is a canine found throughout much of North and Central America. It is a cousin of the larger Gray or Timber Wolf, but unlike the wolf the coyote evolved in North America alongside the long extinct Dire Wolf. The scientific name Canis latrans means 'barking dog.' Coyotes are very adaptive and are often seen in urban environments, even ones with a dense human population. In cities they will scavenge garbage, but will also hunt and kill many small nuisance rodents such as rats or rabbits. While the coyote itself is sometimes seen as a pest, some populated areas welcome them to control the population of these animals.
