The Atlas Moth is is a large flying insect found in the tropical and subtropical forests of Southeast Asia. They has the largest wing surface area of all moths – but not the longest wings – which are generally 10-12 inches. The females are larger than the males. Like some other moths Atlas moths do not eat their entire adult life. The cocoons of the Atlas Moths are used to make a durable silk called “Fagara Silk”

The Bat star is a member of the family Asteroidea. They are also called the Sea bat, Webbed star, Bat Man and Broad-disk star. This ocean animal is an echinoderm (commonly known as sea stars). It usually has five arms, with the center disk of the animal being much wider than the stubby arms are in length. Bat stars come in many different colors, such as green, purple, red, orange, yellow and brown, either mottled or solid. The bat star gets its name from the webbing between its arms, which is said to resemble a bat's wings. The California Swell Shark - also called the Balloon Shark or simply Swellshark - is native to the continental sea shelves, kelp forests and shallow inshore reefs, sometimes wedged into a rock crevice during the day emerging at night to hunt for food such as small bony fish, crustaceans, and mollusks. They are not dangerous to humans, and will avoid contact with divers by remaining in their hiding spots, even swelling up to make sure they are not dislodged. This defense of inflating itself to become larger is also useful in avoiding predators, making them too large for some predators to attack.
