Artist’s notes:
The Chinook was completed on 2.17.2012. When I thought I had completed all the state animals of New Hampshire, I learned that they had also selected the Chinook as their state dog. It is a charming looking sled dog, but to be honest I had never heard of it – most likely due to the fact that it’s a pretty rare breed in most of the world. But I watched a few programs on it and some videos on YouTube and thought that to capture this dog’s essence, I’d render it in motion, which I hadn’t done with any of the canines I’ve drawn so far.
