Eastern Gray Treefrog – Signed Fine Art Print
$19.95 – $27.95
Information about the Eastern Gray Tree Frog Frog:
The Eastern Gray Tree Frog Frog (also called simply the Gray Tree Frog, Common Gray Tree Frog or the Tetraploid Gray Tree Frog) is a small amphibian native to much of the Eastern part of North America. They usually grow no larger than 2 inches long (5 centimeters.) They are very closely related to the Cope’s Gray Tree Frog (Hyla chrysoscelis,) and are difficult to tell apart apart from the different mating calls. As the name implies, these frogs are highly arboreal and descend from the trees only during breeding season. They are strictly nocturnal, and are mostly solitary. They do well in captivity and are often kept as pets, although in some areas their numbers are in decline and have been restricted or even banned from being collected in the wild.
The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
• Paper thickness: 10.3 mil
• Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²)
• Opacity: 94%

Artist’s notes:
The Eastern Gray Tree Frog Frog was completed on 4.17.2012. This marks the 43rd frog I’ve drawn as I get closer to completing all species native to North America. I have several left to draw, but the reason I wanted to complete a drawing of this species was to finish off the last frog native to my home state of Minnesota (there are 11 total.) The drawing is based on a photo by Todd Pierson.
