$19.95 – $27.95
Information about the Common Eastern Bumble Bee:
Common Eastern Bumble Bees are generalists, living in virtually any environment from meadows and farmed areas into suburban areas and even large cities. More often then not when you encounter a bumble bee in North America it is likely to be Bombus impatiens. It can survive in a range of climates from the colder areas of southern Canada into sub-tropical areas such as Florida. They are considered excellent pollinators and are now imported into areas far outside their natural range such as California and Mexico.
The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
• Paper thickness: 10.3 mil
• Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²)
• Opacity: 94%

Artist’s notes:
The Common Eastern Bumble Bee was completed on 7.17.2009. It is based on a photo by Jason Means. This insect was a lot of fun to draw, although it was challenging bringing out the detail in the black legs against the black body. The wings were particularly fun as I always enjoy rendering translucency. I think it it one of the strongest drawings I’ve completed so far this year.
