Arctic Fox – Signed Fine Art Print
$19.95 – $27.95
Information about the Arctic Fox:
The Arctic Fox – also called the Polar, White or Snow Fox – is a small mammal of the Canidae family. It has the distinction of living in one of the coldest and harshest environments on the planet. It’s deep and heavy fur helps protect it from the elements. While it’s ears are comparatively small compared to other foxes, it’s hearing is so keen it can detect and locate prey underneath the snow. Like some other mammals of the far north, it’s fur changes color with the seasons; white in the winter and gray-brown in the summer.
The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
• Paper thickness: 10.3 mil
• Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²)
• Opacity: 94%

Artist’s notes:
The Arctic Fox was completed on 6.20.2010. As with other white animals, drawing this fox was a challenge when your foundation is a black medium like ink. The use of stipple to show the flow of the fur is important, without losing the fact that what you’re drawing is nearly pure white. The drawing is based on a photo by MyAngel 27
