Grant’s Zebras – Signed Fine Art Print
$19.95 – $27.95
Information about the Grant’s Zebras:
Grant’s Zebra is the smallest of six subspecies of the Plains Zebra. Its height is about 50 inches from shoulder to hoof, and weighs in at 500 to 600 pounds. The zebra has black and white stripes, a black nose, and black hooves. Zebra’s stripes are an excellent camouflage because lions are believed to be color blind. Confusion is another defense mechanism. Zebras cluster together to confuse would-be predators with their stripes when they feel threatened.
The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
• Paper thickness: 10.3 mil
• Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²)
• Opacity: 94%
Fine art illustration of a pair of Grant’s Zebras (Equus quagga boehmi.) The illustration is available in black and white or color for immediate download.
Artist’s notes:
This is another recent ‘re-do’ from an older illustration. The older style was less stippling and more line which I think made it a little stiff. I didn’t mind doing it over as zebras are such cool looking horses. Because of their unique striping pattern they are very dramatic subjects to illustrate.
