Green Frog – Signed Fine Art Print
$19.95 – $27.95
Information about the Green Frog:
The Green Frog is a medium sized amphibian native to the eastern half of North America. They are considered a ‘true frog’ – which means they are smooth, moist-skinned, with large, powerful legs and extensively webbed feet. These are very adaptive frogs, and can live in a variety of freshwater environments, such as lakes, ponds, roadside ditches, bogs, marshes and slow moving streams. They feed on small invertebrates such as crayfish, shrimps, as well as insects, snakes, snails, and even other frogs and small birds. Basically, they’ll eat whatever seems like food and they can fit in their mouth. They are often kept as pets and do well in aquariums.
The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
• Paper thickness: 10.3 mil
• Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²)
• Opacity: 94%

Artist’s notes:
The Green Frog was completed on 7.23.2010. I had completed an earlier drawing, but had not had the permission from the photographer, so it was scrapped, and this drawing was made to take it’s place. While perhaps not the most exciting looking frog around, the Green Frog had a kind of ‘typical’ frog look to it that I really like. The drawing is based on a photo by the talented herp photographer Pierson Hill.
