Black Rhinoceros – Signed Fine Art Print
Information about the Black Rhinoceros:
Black rhino, also known as Hook-Lipped rhinos, are members of the order Perissodactyla. These critically endangered mammals are native to the eastern and central parts of Africa. Rhinos are solitary animals who generally only come together to mate. A black rhino’s eyesight is very poor, and although they will attack they will do so only when they feel threatened. The Black Rhino is a herbivorous browser that feeds on leafy plants, branches, shoots, thorny wood bushes and fruit.
The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
• Paper thickness: 10.3 mil
• Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²)
• Opacity: 94%
Fine art illustration of a Black Rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis.) The illustration is available in black and white or color.
Artist’s notes:
The Black Rhinoceros was completed on 11.12.2010. This was a re-do that replaced one of my earliest drawings. After years of developing my current style, some of the older drawings don’t mesh very well with the newer ones. I also prefer to have the entire body of the animal showing, if possible (the old drawing had the feet lost in the grass the rhino was standing in.)
