Pinto Horse – Signed Fine Art Print
$19.95 – $27.95
Information about the Pinto Horse:
Pintos are horses that have a coat color of big patches of white and another color. The distinct coloration is a very popular pattern for horses, although it is rarely seen in the wild. There are more pinto horses in the United States then anywhere else in the world. The breed is sometimes mistaken for a painted or Appaloosa horse, but when seen side by side the painted horse’s coloration is more leopard-like and varied and not so monochromatic as the pinto. The pinto is such a popular horse the Pinto Horse Association of was formed in 1956.
The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
• Paper thickness: 10.3 mil
• Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²)
• Opacity: 94%

Artist’s notes:
The Pinto Horse was completed on 7.27.2011. A few months back, I decided to branch out from doing simply wild animals to include some domestic farm animals. Obviously, a collection of farm animals wouldn’t be complete without a horse. I had some trouble deciding which breed, but eventually picked the Pinto breed, as this is the type of horse I had in mind when thinking of a typical farm resident. The drawing is based on a photo by Leslie Moore.
