Artist’s notes:
The Emerald Swallowtail Butterfly was completed on 2.20.2010. I first saw these lovely butterflies at Butterfly World near Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The impressive emeralds and green really stuck with me, and I decided to draw on then and there. I believe the true colors of the insect are captured in the drawing.
