The Forest Green Tree Frog is a member of the family Rhacophoridae. It’s a small amphibian native to subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, freshwater marshes, and irrigated land. This small frog is found in Japan on the island of Honshu (except Ibaragi Prefecture) as well as Sado Island.

Artist’s notes:
The Forest Green Tree Frog was completed on 12.6/2015. I’m currently working on a series of animals native to the islands of Japan. I had actually little clue as to what animals lived there, but I was happy to learn that even in Japan – with it’s massive cities and small amount of actual space – had many wonderful animals. My friend and business partner Koji suggested this species.
