Artist’s notes:
The Golden Tegu was comlpeted on January 12th, 2016. This is the final drawing that will make up a collage of the animals of the Brazilian Pantanal. I’m lucky enough to be friends with some biologists who live in Brazil, and when I asked for suggestions for animals to add to the collage, they suggested this tegu. Nearly eight years ago – to the day – I contacted Othmar Raoul Traninger asking for permission to use his photo to create this drawing.
