Information about the Northern Goshawk:
Northern Goshawk is a medium-large raptor in the family Accipitridae, which also includes other diurnal raptors, such as eagles, buzzards and harriers. As a species in the Accipiter genus, the goshawk is often considered a true “hawk”. It is a widespread species that inhabits the temperate parts of the Northern Hemisphere. Northern goshawks can be found in both deciduous and coniferous forests.

Artist’s notes:
The Northern Goshawk was completed on 8.5.2016. I realized that I’d actually drawn nearly all of the species of hawk native to North America. The Northern Goshawk was one of three species that I hadn’t completed. I found a great reference photo with a creative commons license. With a few alternations I was able to complete the illustration.
