Information about the Palm Warbler:
The Palm Warbler is a small songbird of the New World warbler family. They’re native to bogs when they’re in the north. but during migration they can be found in open places, especially weedy fields and borders of marshes. These birds are about 5 1/2″ inches long (14cm,) When calling, Palm Warblers Weak dry trill, like that of Chipping Sparrow but slower.

Artist’s notes:
The Palm Warbler illustration was completed in March of 2016. I was putting together a collage of animals native to the Florida Everglades. However, I had forgotten I had already done this. But as the Palm Warbler is such a lovely species of bird, I went ahead and created the drawing anyway. The drawing is based on a photo by nebirdsplus on Flickr.
