Information about the Luna Moth:

The Luna Moth is a Nearctic moth in the subfamily Saturniinae. These colorful moths are found in North American from east of the Great Plains down into north Mexico and east to Nova Scotia in Canada. Based on the climate in which they live, the Luna moths produce differing numbers of generations. Some of these generation are very short lived and might live only a few days.
