Bohemian Waxwing – Signed Fine Art Print
$19.95 – $27.95
Information about the Bohemian Waxwing:
The Bohemian Waxwing is a medium sized passerine songbird native to the northern forests of Eurasia and North America. Adults look very similar, growing to be about 7.5–9 inches (19–23 cm) long with a wingspan of 12.6–14 inches (32–35.5 cm) , and an average weight of 1.9 oz (55 g.) While they tend to stay in the more remote areas during much of the year, during the breeding season they will often venture into backyards and other urban areas to look for food. These birds are known for their striking and distinctive wings, which have yellow, red and white on the tips and midsection. The Bohemian Waxwing feeds mostly on fruits, going from tree to tree in small flocks. They will also feed on insects and small invertebrates.
The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:

Artist’s notes:
The Bohemian Waxwing was completed on 5.24.2014. While the Bohemian Waxwing looks nearly identical to the Cedar Waxwing (at least to most people) I thought that this iconic and lovely looking songbird needed to be added to the image library. I went with a flying pose, as the drawing I did of the Cedar Waxwing showed the bird perched on a tree. The drawing is based on a photo by Les Piccolo and was used with permission.
