Information about the King Penguin:
The King Penguin is the second largest penguin in the world. They stand about 3 feet tall and weight between 25-35 pounds. They inhabit the sub-Antarctic islands of the northern areas of Antarctica in addition to the Falkland Islands. These penguins feed mainly on small fish, squid, krill and other crustaceans. Like other penguins they have evolved with the able to drink saltwater.

Artist’s notes:
The line art version of the King Penguin was drawn as part of a series of three penguins for a private client in 2003. The digital tinting was added in 2007. The drawing was completed re-done in 2019.
