Ring-Tailed Cat – Signed Fine Art Print
$19.95 – $27.95
Information about the Ring-Tailed Cat:
Despite it’s common name, this small mammal is not a cat, but rather a member of the raccoon family. It’s also sometimes mistakenly called a civet. Also called a ‘miner’s cat’ due to the fact that miners and settlers used to have them as pets to help keep their cabins free of vermin. It can be found in the Western United States down into central Mexico. The Ringtail inhabits rocky, desert habitat, where it nests in the hollows of trees or abandoned wooden structures. It is the state mammal of Arizona.
The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
• Paper thickness: 10.3 mil
• Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²)
• Opacity: 94%

Artist’s notes:
The Ring-Tailed Cat was completed on 1.8.10. As these animals are mostly nocturnal I knew little about them and had to rely on existing images to study them. This drawing is based on a photo by Larry & Amanda Anderson.
