Snowy Owl – Signed Fine Art Print
$19.95 – $27.95
Information about the Snowy Owl:
The Snowy Owl lives at the extreme northern margins of the arctic tundra. It is the northernmost, heaviest, and most distinctively marked owl of North America. They inhabit areas of low sparse vegetation, open fields, valley floors, salt and fresh water meadows. Largely diurnal, it spends much of its time perched still and silent on lookouts, waiting to make forays for prey.
The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
• Paper thickness: 10.3 mil
• Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²)
• Opacity: 94%
Fine art illustration of a Snowy Owl (Bubo scandiacus.) The illustration is available in black and white or color.
Artist’s notes:
The Snowy Owl is a ‘re-do’ after I discovered the older drawing had been based on a copyrighted image. Which turned out fine because I like the newer version much more. This was the first bird where I added a blue sky to the background, which definitely helps the owl ‘pop’ more off the page. The drawing is based on a photo by Stefan Cook.
