Artist’s notes:
The Hooded Oriole was completed in November of 2015. We moved to the Oakland Hills in early 2014. Since then, the different types of birds I’ve seen in the area is amazing. I was very surprised to see a few of this species in the yard next door! I hope I can lure them over to my yard with some suet. The drawing is based on a photo by Kelley Sampeck.
