The Bateleur Eagle is a medium-sized, stocky raptor native to much of Africa and some small areas of Arabia. They have a large wingspan - over 6 feet (186 cm) weighing about 4 pounds 7 ounces (2.2 kg) These birds of prey hunt over large areas of the open savannah and woodlands within sub-Saharan Africa. Unlike some of the other eagle species, this bird is relatively colorful with a bright red/orange beak and brown shoulder feathers, along with pink feet. The species has declined over the last few decades and is now considered threatened, due to habitat loss, pollution, poaching and nest disturbance. It is the national emblem of the African nation of Zimbabwe. The Andean Condor is a species of South American bird in the New World vulture family Cathartidae and is the only member of the genus Vultur. The large birds of prey are native to the Andes mountains and adjacent Pacific coasts of western South America. Unlike most birds of prey, the male is actually larger than the female. The condor can live to be up to 100 years in captivity, which makes them one of the world's longest-living birds, with a lifespan of up to 100 years old in captivity.
