Artist’s notes:

The Eurasian or Common Bullfinch was completed on April 20th, 2016. I had, for several months, been putting together a collage of European songbirds. Each time I thought I was ready to put it together, something set me back. In reality, this is a good thing as it makes for a better collage. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have discovered and drawing this remarkable species of bird. The drawing is based on a photo by Hanna Sorensson and was used under a Creative Commons license.
