House Finch – Signed Fine Art Print
$19.95 – $27.95
Information about the House Finch:
The House Finch is a small member of the Fringillidae family. In the mid 20th century, they inhabited mostly just the western parts of North America, but since then they have been introduced into the eastern US and now can be found in nearly all but the extreme center of the continent. During this expansion, they have displaced the Purple Finch and House Sparrow. House finches are popular birdfeeder residents, often gathering in large numbers exhausting the feeder of all the seed. They will also eat berries, grains and seeds.
The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
• Paper thickness: 10.3 mil
• Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²)
• Opacity: 94%

Artist’s notes:
The House Finch illustration was completed on 6.4.09. I’m slowly working my way through the common birdfeeder birds you’re likely to encounter in your backyard. The drawing is based on a fantastic photo by Don ‘LakeGeorgeVacations’ who is a Flickr friend of mine. You can see the drawing be worked on in the article in the San Francisco Chronicle of June 8th, 2010 which dealt with the Federal Duck Stamp contest in which the judging was held in Berkeley, CA.
