Queen Angelfish – Signed Fine Art Print
$19.95 – $27.95
Information about the Queen Angelfish:
The Queen Angelfish is a colorful fish found in the warm coral reefs of the Atlantic Ocean, specifically in and around Florida, the Bahamas and the Gulf of Mexico. Despite their bright coloration, these fish blend quite well into their surroundings. Queen Angelfish feed on sponges, jellyfish, corals, plankton and algae. Juveniles will serve as ‘cleaner fish’ to larger species and sea turtles. These fish do well in captivity and are frequently kept as pets in saltwater aquariums. They have tiny mouths that protract and contain slender brush-like teeth in a thin band. Unlike some other coral reef fish, they do not school, but instead are solitary or swim in pairs, which might mean that they are monogamous.
The poster is printed on matte, museum-quality paper with Giclée printing quality:
• Paper thickness: 10.3 mil
• Paper weight: 5.6 oz/y² (192 g/m²)
• Opacity: 94%

Artist’s notes:
The Queen Angelfish was completed on 4.30.2011. As I’ve gotten more involved in SCUBA diving, I’ve come to appreciate more and more the wonderful fish that inhabit the coral reefs. While there are hundreds and hundreds of fish I could draw, I thought I’d start with some of the more common and well-known species – like the Queen Angelfish. The drawing is based on a photo by Felicia McCaulley
